Match Preview: Grenadines Divers vs Salt Pond Breakers – 21st Match VPL 4
This is a must win game for the Divers, otherwise they don’t stand a chance of making it into the playoffs. Even if they do win, they have to rely on the outcome of Dark View Explorers match to determine their faith.
In The Spotlight
Divers have been having a terrible time for the past few matches, being completely outplayed by their opponents. Roland Cato has been the only batsman to show any sort of form but everyone else seems to be struggling and soak up too many dot balls in the process. Even if they don’t qualify, they will be looking to go out on a high with a win. Geron Wyllie has been on song with the ball in the last few games and Wesrick Strough has been mostly reliable throughout the entire tournament. Asif Hooper is usually good with the ball but otherwise, they all seems deflated and defeated.
Breakers were on cloud nine at the half way stage but problems have started to show themselves as they lost their two previous games heading into this match. Their bowling has conceded runs and the batting fell away quickly at the top. They have another chance to work out the batting flaws at the top. If they do manage to figure that out, they will be worthy contenders to lift the title for the 2nd time.
