Divers won the toss and bowling.

Asif Hooper bowled the first over and kept things in check. It was all the Hikers there after. They got 41 runs from the powerplay, with Kavem Hodge continuing his fine form. Hodge was severe on anything short, cutting and pulling with precision and power. Gidron Pope was turning the strike over to Hodge, recognising that he was scoring at a blistering pace. Hodge brought up his half century in 22 deliveries.

Hodge was dismissed for 56 from 27 deliveries, hitting 4 fours and 4 sixes. Dillon Douglas marched to the crease and smoked the first delivery he faced for six over mid wicket. Geron Wyllie continued to bowl wonderfully for the Divers taking 1 wicket for 11 runs from his two overs, gold in the context of the game. Hikers were motoring at 60/0 after 5 overs but thanks to the spell from Wyllie, they were held back to 84/2 after 8 overs.

Divers other bowlers couldn’t stop Hikers as they raced to 114/2 from their 10 overs. Gidron Pope remained not out on 26 from 21 deliveries, hitting 2 fours while Desron Maloney was also not out on 18 from 8 deliveries with 2 sixes.

Divers were dealt a big blow when Asif Hooper was dismissed off the first delivery of the chase off the bowling of Kavem Hodge. The struggle for Shem Browne continued as he was caught by Wicket Keeper Pope off the bowling of Othneil Lewis. At the end of the powerplay, Divers could only get to 22/2.

Cato, picking some form in his past few games, continued to look the part as he played shots that delighted the crowd. While the other batsmen struggled, he managed to pick off 42 from 23 deliveries, hitting 4 fours and 3 sixes. Divers lost all momentum after the fall of Cato’s wicket and could only get to 86 from their 10 overs, Hikers winning by 28 runs and moving to the top of the table.
