Larry Edwards opened the bowling and only conceded one run. Asif Hooper hooked Kimali Williams during the 2nd over for six but Divers were kept under control still, being 10/0 at the end of the over. Larry Edwards finished off his spell early and only went for nine runs, with Divers continuing to struggle to get the ball away, being 18/0 after 3 overs. Kenneth Dember bowled the final powerplay over and the misery continued for the Divers as they only got 1 run from the over.

Kenneth Dember broke the opening stand during the 6th over, a timely wicket for the Divers more than the Rangers as the dismissed batsman Browne was struggling. Divers finally got going at the backend of their innings and took 41 runs from the last three overs. Roland Cato made 36 from 19 deliveries, hitting 2 fours and 3 sixes. Kenneth Dember was the pick of the bowlers with 1 wicket for 7 runs from his two overs.

Andre Fletcher opened his account with two boundaries through the offside. Rangers got boundaries often and were going steadily at 30/0 after three overs. Geron Wyllie with his deceptive leg spin was able to outfox Andre Fletcher, having him caught at short third man attempting a big hit. Rangers could only get 1 run off the over to finish the powerplay on 31/1.

With such a small target to defend, Rangers were well in control, continually taking 10+ runs off each over after the powerplay. Rangers, realising the importance of net run rate, was trying to overhaul the target as quickly as possible. They completed the chase in 7.4 overs with Keron Cottoy top scoring with 21 not out from 8 deliveries, hitting 1 four and 2 sixes.
