Match Preview – 11th Match: Fort Charlotte Strikers vs Grenadines Divers

March 23, 2022

The Strikers are going into this game winless, the only team without a win under their belt. Divers are not too far ahead and a win is very important at this stage for them. It’s a high stakes game!

In The Spotlight

Strikers would have been relatively pleased with their performance during match 10, except for a forgettable last over. Even without runs contribution from Bascombe, they still managed to post a good score. Hackshaw and new comer Crystian Thurton stepped up and made the team’s highest individual scores. Their bowling was a lot better generally but a horror last over saw them going down. The only way they can go from here on is up – at least in their minds, that’s what they would be thinking. Their body language as they enter the field tomorrow will indicate what state of mind they are in after such a hurtful loss.

Divers are soaking up too many dot balls at the top and Hiram Shallow has been the most guilty of it. The team would have to have a talk with him to step on the accelerator sooner rather than later. The team has been decent otherwise, and being led well by captain Asif Hooper.
