Match Preview – 6th Match VPL 4: Dark View Explorers vs Grenadines Divers

March 20, 2022

Dark View Explorers are on a high, winning their first match of VPL 4.0 in convincing fashion – they were led by a remarkable innings from the stylish Dominican left hander Alick Athanaze. While Grenadines Divers lost their 1st game, they would not be so low on confidence in that the outcome of their first match was down to the dreaded Duckworth/Lewis method.

In The Spotlight

Divers, knowing their track record and the sort of batting that the Explorers have, know they have to make a substantial score in order to pose a threat in this match. Their batting has the quality to do the job. Asif Hooper is a smart Cricketer and he knows it’s going to take a special knock from someone to over power the Explorers.

One of Explorers weak point in the past has been their bowling. At times, they’ve made large scores only for teams to chase it down quite easily. They now have an ace up their sleeve in Darius Martin, a quality fast bowler up there with Ray Jordan of the Strikers. If they continue to get large scores, they would be much harder to take down this time around. With the players that the Explorers have, you’d be disappointed if they don’t get big scores regularly.
