Match Preview – Finals: La Soufriere Hikers vs Dark View Explorers
This is the moment they have been waiting for, glory awaits the winner at the end. It’s the first time that Dark View Explorers are going into the finals and it’s the 3rd time in a row for the Hikers being finalists. They will be looking for their 2nd trophy to add to their cabinet.
In The Spotlight
Hikers started the tournament brilliantly, had a few hiccups in the middle and are now back with strong performances to the back end. Salvan Browne, Dillon Douglas, Othneil Lewis and Atticus Browne all look in superb touch with the bat. If Desron Maloney can find back his groove, then we are in for a treat of a match – they will be very hard to beat. Hikers had two easy victory over Explorers recently but they wouldn’t want to get complacent as their bowling was starting to look like a weak point at some stage. They adjusted their bowling plans beautifully in their past two matches and have done much better.
Explorers were looking lost in previous matches but Romano Pierre played a blindly to send Explorers into their first finals. They surely will be believing that they can go all the way. Their batting has a lot of fire power with Greaves, Hooper, James & Dean Browne. Their bowling is starting to come under the radar and you’ll feel that the outcome of the match will largely rest of how their bowling unit performs.
Both teams have three batsmen and bowlers who are in the top ten batting and bowling stats for the tournament. There isn’t much separating the teams, so it is all set to be a keenly contested affair. It’s either Explorers win their first title, or Hikers will be bagging their 2nd.
