Match Preview – 1st Match: La Soufriere Hikers vs Fort Charlotte Strikers

They have been bolstered by the addition of Miles Bascombe and have acquired a decent outfit – could their fortunes change this time around?

Fort Charlotte Strikers nemesis have been terrible starts in the powerplay. In order to turn their fortunes around, you reckon that’s the first thing they need to correct in order to be on their way to glory. They have a competent bowling line up, acquiring the guile of the Geron Wyllie with his leg break.
Hikers had a poor start to their 2nd edition but finished it with a blaze of glory, smoking everyone in their path. They as always, will be every reliant on the batting trio of Browne, Douglas and captain Maloney. Their bowling strength are their spinners, and they still have a quality spin bowling attack.

The weather is set to be partly cloudy to sunny for most of the day, with very little chance of rain playing any part in the match.
The pitch was relaid in January and no cricket has been played on it since, therefore, no one knows what to expect. The surface is now composed largely of clay – it’s left to be seen whether the fast bowlers or spinners will be the beneficiary of it.
