Match Preview: 24th Match – La Soufriere Hikers vs Grenadines Divers
There is only one qualification spot left, and whoever comes out the winner of this match will advance to the playoffs.
In The Spotlight
Grenadines Divers have found themselves in a spot they shouldn’t have been in. They were in the drivers seat for a few games and lost from positions they should have won from. Now they’re basically playing the playoff round from today. Too much is left for Shem Browne and Asif Hooper to do. Theophile, Harper & Nedd needs to contribute as well today for the Divers to be in with a real shot of the playoffs.
Hikers are having an unusual season, struggling to score runs freely as a team, their trademark. Mainly in part due to the struggles of their top batsmen in Salvan Browne and Desron Maloney. Dillon Douglas has been doing well, but with very little support from anyone else. Their bowling isn’t their strongest department, so with their batting being shaky, the bowling might have to do the unthinkable today to heighten the Hikers chance of getting to the playoffs.
Weather
The weather for today is set to be fair with little chance of rain.
Pitch Conditions
The pitch looks in good condition for T10 cricket, good for batting, not much assistance for the seamers.
