La Soufriere Hikers won the toss and choose to bowl first, under cloudy skies.

Divers, boasting probably the most dangerous opening pair of the tournament had a sedate start, only getting 25 from their powerplay overs. The pitch was offering more bounce and pace than seen previously in the tournament and the batsmen found it difficult to adjust. Shem Browne did wack three sixes but their was a lot of dot balls accumulation by the Divers and they continued to struggle throughout their innings, only managing to get 75 from the 10 overs. Shem Browne top scored with 33 from 27 balls, hitting 3 sixes. The Divers innings contained 5 sixes, 1 fours and 24 dot balls.

Hikers got 2 sixes in the first over, Salvan Browne launching one but was bowled next delivery and Dillon Douglas hitting big off his first delivery faced. Abraham bowled well in the powerplay, returning figures of 1/10 from his 2 overs, keeping the Hikers to 31/2 after 4 overs. Desron Maloney started to regain some form and took 3 fours from Theophile’s over. It all became easy from there on in, as Maloney partnering with the steady head of Kavem Hodge got home with 8 deliveries to spare. Maloney finished not out on 47 from 28 deliveries, hitting 5 fours and 3 sixes. Hodge supported with 11 from 10 deliveries.
