Match Preview: 11th Match – Botanical Gardens Rangers vs Fort Charlotte Strikers

November 12, 2020

Botanical Garden Rangers are sitting pretty at the top of table, while the Strikers are at the bottom, who desperately is in need of a win.

In The Spotlight

Gidron Pope has not come to the party as yet, while the conditions have been good for batting. Strikers will be looking to him, one of the best known six hitters in the country, to help propel them to a large total. Alex Samuels was a revelation at the top yesterday and Strikers need him to play with the same approach today. The bowling has been ok so it’s up to the Strikers batsman to give the team a chance of being in the match.

Rangers will want to continue their winning streak, to inch closer towards a playoff spot. Their batsmen are in fine form, with Shallow, Cottoy & Stewart all showing to be in top nick. The bowling has been led superbly by left arm spinner Zimron Providence. They have a really good all round team and will be backing themselves in any situation.

Weather

The weather is fair today with a slight chance of rain but there is no indication that we wouldn’t get a full match at this time.

Pitch Conditions

The pitch looks in excellent condition for T10 cricket, perfect for stroke play.
