Match Preview: 1st Match – Grenadines Divers vs Botanical Garden Rangers

The first match of the much anticipated 2nd edition of the Dream11 Vincy Premier League is the match between Grenadines Divers & Botanical Garden Rangers, 3rd and 4th place finishers respectively in the tournament’s first edition.

In The Spotlight

The batting of Grenadines Divers was the main worry in the 1st edition. They will be feeling more settled this time as they acquired Tyrone Theophile, Windward Islands opening batsman and Kadir Nedd, 6th on the runs chart in the previous edition. Their bowling attack is still very formidable with West Indies fast bowler Obed McCoy set to lead the attack again and backed by the stifling left arm spin of captain Asif Hooper.

For Botanical Garden Rangers, they have a new captain in Kenneth Dember – Kesrick Williams being unavailable on duty with the West Indies T20 team in New Zealand. Their team continues to be one that is built around the fast bowlers but they have also bolstered the spin department with Keron Cottoy, Zimron Providence and Richie Richards being picked up in the draft to compliment skipper Kenneth Dember. The batting will continue to rely on the ever prolific Hyron Shallow. Former Windward Island batsman Donwell Hector and Emmanuel Stewart, current Windward Island wicket keeper batsman was also picked up in the draft strengthening their batting options.
