Match Report: 24th Match – Salt Pond Breakers vs Dark View Explorers

May 29, 2020

Dark View Explorers won the toss and decided to bowl first. Sunil Ambris & Kadir Nedd got the breakers off to an excellent start, as usual – both fell in close succession, with the scores on 48 and 50 in the fifth over. Ambris made 21 from 13 hitting 4 fours and extending his runs tally to 258, 59 runs ahead of the next best. Kody Horne was promoted to open the batting with Shamon Hooper. They failed to get off to a good start, being 24/2 after 4 overs – 59 remaining from 36 deliveries. Deron Greaves and Lindon James were now at the crease with a lot to do. Lindon James didn’t last too long as Ambris had him lbw for 9. O’Jay Matthews joined Greaves but soon departed. Thomas, the last recognized batsman was bowled by Ambris swinging for the fences, 35 now required from 14 balls with 5 wickets in hand. The Explorers could only labour to 63/9, losing by 20 runs. Wesrick Strough was the pick of the bowlers, as usual, bowling at the death, taking 2-8 while Ambris had 2-11.
