Match Preview: Semi Finals 2 – La Soufriere Hikers vs Botanical Gardens Rangers
This will be the most keenly anticipated game of the semi finals. Both teams have met twice and the Hikers have won convincingly both times, manhandling the Rangers bowling attack on both occassions.
In The Spotlight
La Soufriere Hikers batting line up will be in the spotlight on the big stage, as this is the day where it will really matter. The captain has moved himself down the order to add some solidity outside the powerplay. The Hikers seem to have their batting covered. Their bowling is still a major worry but Othneil Lewis has been great in the powerplay and Kimson Dalzell has been bowling well outside the powerplay.
For the Rangers, they are going into the match as the underdogs. They however have a lot of guys who are experienced and love playing on the big stage. Kenneth Dember was stroking it beautifully in round 8. With the likes of Hyron Shallow and Romel Currency in their batting lineup, they’ll fancy their chances as Shallow is a big match player. Kesrick Williams enjoys the limelight and no doubt, he’ll be bringing his A game.
Weather
There is a possibility that some rain maybe expected during the course of this match.
Pitch Conditions
Conditions are expected to be similar to what we have seen in the past few days – an excellent surface conducive for batting!
Team News
