Match Preview: 22nd Match – Fort Charlotte Strikers vs La Soufriere Hikers

May 28, 2020

Fort Charlotte Strikers finally got on the points table during round 7, and they’ll be confident for once heading into the next round of match. They do have a very slim chance of qualification, but it however lies on Grenadines Divers and Dark View Explorers losing badly, and the Strikers getting a big win. For La Soufriere Hikers, a win here is needed in order for them to stand a chance of finishing top of the table.

In The Spotlight

For the Hikers, Kimson Dalzell has been a revolution to the pace component of the Hikers bowling attack that has struggled. He has brought some respectability to the Hikers attack and have help to restrict what could have otherwise been some much bigger targets to chase. Salvan Browne has been in scintillating form and will look to destroy the Strikers’ bowling attack.

For the Strikers, their power hitters finally came to the party – they launched 3 sixes out the ground in round 7. The Hikers bowling attack has been vulnerable all tournament and they’ll fancy themselves making their biggest total of the tournament so far.

Weather

There is a possibility that some brief early morning rain is possible but not much is expected if it does rain. It should be partly sunny otherwise.

Pitch Conditions

Conditions are expected to be similar to what we have seen in the past few days – an excellent surface conducive for batting!
