Match Report: 17th Match – Dark View Explorers vs Botanical Gardens Rangers
Dark View Explorers won the toss and chose to bat. Deron Greaves and Shamon Hooper got off to another decent start but they were parted on 20 when Kimali Williams dismissed Deron Greaves for 12. The Rangers bowling was very good as they continued to keep the Explorers in check. No one managed to really cut loose as the Rangers wasn’t giving much away. The Explorers tried to force the pace in the last 3 overs but they could only manage 23 from the 18 balls and get a total of 80/6.
The Explorers, without their ace speedster Darius Martin to injury, got off to a shaky start with the ball, as Greaves conceded 12 off the first over. Strough followed up with a good 2nd over, only conceding 6 runs. Hyron Shallow and Ozico Williams started to take things away to carry the game further away from the wondering Explorers. The Explorers managed to take the wicket of Shallow (35 from 21 balls) and Williams (20 from 19 balls) but that didn’t stop the ease of victory for the Rangers, who won with 8 balls to spare.
