Match Preview: 7th Match – Botanical Garden Rangers vs Dark View Explorers

The first match of round 3 will be a chance for one of the Rangers or Explorers to go ahead of the next in the points standing.

 

In The Spotlight

Hyron Shallow started to find his feet in round 2, and when he get going, he’s one of the best batsman in local cricket. The Rangers will be relying on him to continue his imperious form from round 2. The Rangers will be looking for Romel Currency to come to the party as well, to bolster their chances of setting/chasing bigger totals.

For the Explorers, a lot will continue to rest on the broad shoulders of Lindon James, who seems to be getting better with age. Darius Martin opening spell continues to be crucial to them setting the tempo to their bowling innings.

 

Weather

Although some clouds are expected to briefly pass by, it’s expected to be another clear day with little chance of rain interruption.

 

Pitch Conditions

Conditions are expected to be similar to first 2 round. The bounce may start to be a bit more to the liking of the batsmen.

 

Team News

For Dark View Explorers, Andrew Thomas was out of round 2 with an injury, while Denson Hoyte sustained an injury during round 2. Their status is unclear at this time but there is the possibility that Javid Williams may make his debut.

For the Rangers, Atticus Browne missed round 2 match with sickness. He is expected to be back for round 3.
